On the resort
Mammoth Bar (post-round beers, view of 18 on Mammoth Dunes), Aldo's (Italian, dinner reservations needed), and Craig's Porch (casual, between rounds). Lure Bar & Kitchen sits at the Sand Valley lodge and is the easiest dinner reservation to land.
Wisconsin supper clubs nearby
Roman's Pub in Rome for old-school steak and brandy old-fashioneds. Anchor Bay Bar & Grill on Lake Petenwell for fish fry and a deck on the water. The Ridges restaurant at Lake Arrowhead Golf Club for a quieter dinner with a view.
Casual and groups
Mulligan's Pub & Eatery in Nekoosa for burgers, beers, and a group of ten without a reservation. Solid post-36 spot when nobody wants to change clothes.
Cooking in
Every Rome Collective rental has a full kitchen. The Nekoosa Pick 'n Save handles a full group grocery run; for a better experience drive to Festival Foods in Wisconsin Rapids. Most groups cook one breakfast and one dinner and eat out for the rest.
